Iran expert: Military confrontation is “inevitable”

U.S.-Iran relations expert Ervand Abrahamian says a war between the two countries is inevitable under the Trump administration. “The long-term agenda in the White House… [is] basically the destruction of the Islamic Republic, maybe even the destruction of the state, maybe even the destruction of Iran,” he says. “There is no way we can avoid some sort of military confrontation.”
