This video is as an act of protest against the injustices taking place in Iran. It aims to represent the silenced voices of everyday Iranians inside Iran by shedding light on the issues of compulsory veiling, child labour, the death penalty, and the triumph of Kolbars (cross-border couriers). Despite all the restrictions, this self-funded video received much public attention and was viewed over 5 million times on Instagram alone.

On 16 October 2022, amidst the anti-government protests rocking Iran, Nik Yousefi was arrested by regime security forces and taken away to an undisclosed location. There are grave concerns over the fate of Mr. Yousefi and for his safety and wellbeing.

CODIR calls for the immediate and unconditional release of Nik Yousefi as well as all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in Iran.
